Наконец-то я могу рассказать вам, что за книжку (помимо всяких разных других книжек and one especially hideous object made by myself) singolare получил на день рожденья.
Это однотомное издание 1858 года - IsaacD’Israeli’s Curiosities of Literature.

Уже купив это сокровище в "Литературных шедеврах" (а как бы вы перевели "סיפרי מופת"?),
я вспомнила, что читала некоторые главы в блоге Мистера Эйч, где и вы можете с ними познакомиться:

An incrementally-published online presentation of Isaac D’Israeli’s Curiosities of Literature, a compendium of book-lore originally published in six volumes between 1791 and 1834. The primary source for the present text is an undated (but probably 1870s or ’80s) single-volume edition published by Routledge. Corrections and glosses are welcomed: comments will be moderated.
